La revista Rolling Stone realizó en el 2003 una lista de los que según varios críticos serían los 100 mejores guitarristas de la historia.

Se montaban sus propias guitarras, clavaban lápices en los conos de los altavoces, destrozaban instrumentos, los quemaban, hacían solos con los dientes… todo en busca de nuevas maneras de hacer gritar, llorar, susurrar, chillar y gemir a la guitarra. Y cuando con eso no alcanzaba, subían el volumen. Según la Rolling Stone son los mejores y aquí está su ránking.

En el ránking (que cuelgo más abajo) sorprende que no aparezca gente como Slash (ex guitarrista de Guns ‘N Roses y de Velvet Revolver) o Joe Satriani, que Kurt Cobain esté en el puesto 12 (sería bueno, pero ¿tanto?), Keith Richards en el puesto 10, ¿John Mc Laughling en el 49 y Eddie Van Halen en el 70? pero ¿ésto que es? Angus Young en el ¡¡¡96!!!, vale, puede que no posea una técnica acojonante, pero ¿y el carisma que desprende? él sólo en un escenario te da un gran espectáculo, por eso Jimmy Hendrix (puesto 1, no tengo nada que objetar) fué tan bueno, porque aunaba técnica y carisma.

Así podría seguir largo rato, pero bueno, es solo mi opinión, en toda lista que hubieran hecho habría quejas de los lectores así nada aquí os la dejo. (continúa con: lista, fotos, videos…)
